PICK OUR BRAIN: 5 THINGS THE DOWNTOWN RALEIGH HOME SHOW CAN HELP YOU SOLVE

Feb 16, 2023, 21:39 PM
The Downtown Raleigh Home Show returns this weekend to the Raleigh Convention Center. Don't just think of us a destination where all things home improvement come together under one roof. We’re more than that – think of us a “home improvement solution destination” where you can bring your all burning questions and get some solid answers.

Let’s face it, the internet is great – but after a certain point it’s time to pack up all that knowledge you learned online and get face-to-face with local experts in real life.

We’ve got a jam-packed roster featuring special guests and local experts at the show, but before our doors open, we’ll let you virtually pick our brain with five problems we can help you solve:

Need/Want: I want to downsize and live minimally, but I don’t know if I could live in a tiny home.

Answer: We’ve got you. At the Downtown Raleigh Home Show, you can visit the Tiny Home Village and explore different types of tiny homes. Many people are fascinated by the possibility of living life within 400-800-square-feet. Incredible Tiny Homes will help show guests reimagine these small spaces to use not only for entire living spaces for but for home offices, parent-in-law suites, art studios and more.

Need/Want: My interiors need a refresh, but I don’t even know where to start.

Answer: First, come to show and walk the aisles for ideas and inspiration. Even better, make sure you stop by the Fresh Ideas Stage on Saturday at 3 p.m. to catch interior designer Rhonda Benvie’s presentation “Ask A Designer-Q +A”. Rhonda is there to share her knowledge with guests at the show and her top tips she’s learned as founder of Help Me Rhonda interiors. Bring your questions (and your photos) and chat with Rhonda at the show!

Need/Want: I am hosting a party/dinner/shower soon and I don’t have any ideas for a theme or how to decorate.

Answer: What if we told you that you could meet reality TV royalty, queen of creative tablescapes and extravagant theme parties at show? We’ve bringing in Christine “Bugsy” Drake, known to fans of Bravo’s wildly popular series Below Deck. She’ll share her best entertaining tips, décor inspo, and step-by-step guides for creating your own yacht worthy occasion. She appears on the Fresh Ideas stage on Friday and Saturday at 1 p.m.

Need/Want: I think I’m going to have to replace my AC unit soon. There’s a lot of information online, and I’m not sure what I need to do in real life to make it happen.

Answer: You can chill (literally), because we can connect you with a man who is doing an entire presentation called “Home Heating & Cooling 101”. Allen Mitchell with Mitchell Heating & Cooling can tell you everything you need to know about buying and caring for heating and cooling units.

Need/Want: I’ve got so many home projects I want to tackle but a limited budget, any advice on how to find the best deals?

Answer: Absolutely, we have the answer for you. One big advantage of attending the Downtown Raleigh Home Show is that many exhibitors offer their deepest discounts to guests who come to the show. Take a look at which deals you can expect to find at the show here.

P.S. – Looking for special discounts or offers to the show?
