What are your best home or garden tips for this season?
The home and garden show is a great place to find cost reducing energy efficient products. One of the best ways you can save money in the long term is through optimizing the energy efficiency of your home. Most of the energy costs homeowners pay for are for heating and cooling, and if you home is not insulated correctly you could be paying a lot more. There are several aspects of insulation to look at. First and most obviously is your actual insulation. Check the R-value and how deep your insulation is. If your insulation is damp, then you might have a problem with your roof. Your Roof is the next major component for insulation. Your roof is incredibly important to insulating your home, and if it is old or damaged, it might be time to replace it. Lastly, check your Windows. Unfortunately, windows have earned their reputation as bad insulators for a reason. They have a lot of moving parts and can leak air pretty easily. What is the strangest client request you've ever received?
We just had a very unique client request that we were thrilled to help fulfill! During a routine roofing appointment a client told us the story about how he proposed to his wife of 18 years. He wanted us to help him reenact this moment by hanging an enormous messaged tarp on his roof. The entire office was more than happy to participate in such an amazing moment.
What is your favorite part about the home show?
My favorite part of the home show is not only viewing so many different and new products under one roof but also getting reacquainted with old customers as well as meeting new people from the entire region.
